new with me

This weekend i got to spend time with my brother. it was quite fun! He lives in Charleston. I also got to visit my aunt and uncle there. It was good to see them. My uncle has liver tumors and it was good to get an update from him. it looks like there are a good number of options for him. They are pretty optimistic with the direction everything is going. So that was great to hear.

I am so not up to date with my technology. My brother mentioned having an extra Ipod and decided to give me his old one. An ipod mini. SO EXCITING. I probably would have never gotten one. I listen to the same radio station everyday. I dont have many cds and i am pretty cheap when it comes to spending my money on that type of thing.

But now i am excited!! so i guess i will be getting to know itunes a little better in the coming weeks!

Other than that...update about my puppy...

My dog Emi has liver disease. The last month or so she has been steadily gaining fluid on her abdomen. We have asked the doctor about this before and he said it was like an Ethiopian baby who has been malnourished. wrong. obviously it was fluid from the liver...so i took her in on friday and they said that Emi will always have a bad liver. We can only maintain it for the rest of her life (which might be 2-3 more years) with lots of money and drugs.

We can't do that..so our options are to keep the fluid off until she gets where she is uncomfortable or find some rich old lady who would like to maintain her.

here is a picture of her swollen belly. She is much better after we put her on lasix this weekend. She has loss more than half of her fluid. she still has some...so hopefully that will be coming off too!
