Spirt vs. Flesh

Galations 5:16-18 "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh; for these are opposed to each other, to prevent you from doing what you would. But if you are led by the Spirit you are not under the law."

It is so hard to serve someone when you feel like they are taking advantage of you. I am angry. I know i need to put my anger aside and not sin out of it. I need to forgive and serve. I want to serve but he doesn't deserve it. But does God say, "Serve only those people who deserve it?" No, certainly not!

Matthew 5:38-48 say:

"You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' 39But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. 41If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. 42Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you. 43"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' 44But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect."

I want to be perfect because God is perfect. I want to go the extra mile. I want to be loving person that is Christ to him everyday. I want to live for God and not for people. I will do a good job for Jesus. I will go the extra mile for Jesus. I will do my best. It may look absurd to the world but I will run this race set before me with great endurance.
